Mental Health and Faith: A Closer Look

In less than a month, we will be rolling out our interview-format podcast. Please join us! On February 19, we will publish our first three episodes.

  1. Episode 1: Mental Health and Faith – interview with Terri Cooley Bennett, LCSW, LSCSW. She is an outreach supervisor for the homeless program at Swope Behavioral Health. Terri previously owned a Christian counseling business.
  2. Episode 2: Mental Health America – interview with Sue Lewis, CEO of Mental Health America of the Heartland (MHAH). She has over 20 years’ experience in serving people in need of mental health support.
  3. Episode 3: A Pastor’s Perspective – interview with Pastor Rick Friesen. He shares his perception of mental health in the church.

Future podcasts will feature conversations with the following: a past seminary president and Biblical counselor; the manager over an employment services group devoted to finding jobs for people with disabilities; a mental health consumer who shares what it’s like to live with a mental illness.
