Kirsti is the Suicide Prevention Liaison at ReDiscover where she coordinates the Show Me Zero Youth Suicide Grant which serves clients ages 10-24 and the Show Me Zero Suicide Grant working with adults aged 25 and up. She has dynamic experience in crisis work and has utilized her creativity in program expansion and client engagement at ReDiscover for three years. She has seven years in the field working with both adults and youth alike in therapeutic, case management and crisis like settings. She completed her Master’s in Counseling from Missouri State University

Mental Health and Faith: A Closer Look
In less than a month, we will be rolling out our interview-format podcast. Please join us! On February 19, we will publish our first three episodes.
- Episode 1: Mental Health and Faith – interview with Terri Cooley Bennett, LCSW, LSCSW. She is an outreach supervisor for the homeless program at Swope Behavioral Health. Terri previously owned a Christian counseling business.
- Episode 2: Mental Health America – interview with Sue Lewis, CEO of Mental Health America of the Heartland (MHAH). She has over 20 years’ experience in serving people in need of mental health support.
- Episode 3: A Pastor’s Perspective – interview with Pastor Rick Friesen. He shares his perception of mental health in the church.
Future podcasts will feature conversations with the following: a past seminary president and Biblical counselor; the manager over an employment services group devoted to finding jobs for people with disabilities; a mental health consumer who shares what it’s like to live with a mental illness.
